Description of the Land
Pinto Creek Ranch

Size & Location: 12,400 acres. The ranch is located in Southern Kinney County, approximately 12.7 miles South of Brackettville, TX. Access is by paved county road FM 693 for 9.7 miles.

General: The Pinto Creek Ranch was once part of the famous La Fonda ranch. The ranch is highly improved and offers a unique blend of great South Texas brush and Hill Country terrain. The ranch also has three miles of big spring water flowing through the property on Pinto Creek. 30% of the terrain on the ranch consists of rolling hills with native live oaks and other hardwoods. The balance of the ranch is covered in deep rich soil, great South Texas brush, and improved pastures for grazing livestock.

Improvements: Nearly 4 million dollars have been spent on ranch improvements including a 6,500+/- sq. ft. home, 4,000+/- sq. ft. lodge, caretakers housing, high fencing, 2 concrete dams on the creek, miles of all weather roads, an elaborate ranch watering system, deer blinds, feeders, and a feed storage. The ranch also has access to a paved 5,000 ft. landing strip. There are many other improvements on the ranch. A more detailed list of improvements is located in this brochure. Water: One of the most outstanding features of the ranch is provided by 3 miles of year round Pinto Creek, which flows through the property year round. There are two concrete dams built on the creek for swimming and lake enjoyments and plenty of room for more water development. Along the 3 miles of water, you will find majestic rock bluffs, running rapids, natural waterfalls, and outstanding fishing for largemouth bass and catfish. The water is very clear and has a substantial year round flow. Along the entire 3 miles of creek, you will find giant pecan and live oak trees. In addition to the creek, there are 4 domestic water wells on the ranch and an elaborate watering system, which provides water for the wildlife and cattle. In addition, there are 5 big irrigation wells which flow artesian water. These wells could be used for irrigation or lake enhancement.

Wildlife: high fenced since 1984. The ranch provides a hunting paradise that will be hard to match anywhere in South Texas. There are trophy deer on the ranch today that score over 170. The wildlife is protein fed year round. There is also superb quail hunting, white wing dove hunting, and good winter duck hunting along the creek. Turkey populations thrive on the ranch due to the abundance of live water and big trees along the creek. There is also a trophy herd of axis deer and blackbuck antelope on the ranch, which provides an additional source of year round hunting.

Price: Contact The Texas Landmen for pricing.

Comments: Outstanding improvements, live water, and incredible wildlife make this quality of property very hard to find on todays market. The property has outstanding capability for agricultural production or cattle production with the big irrigation water available. Come see South Texas at its finest!
