James B. "Nardie" Vine, Jr. has been engaged in real estate brokerage, appraisals and consultations since 1969. In 1971, he formed Vine and Associates and maintained his office in Dilley, Texas, until 1979 when he moved to San Antonio, Texas. Since 1983, James B. Vine, Jr. has specialized in the sale and valuation of rural and agri-business properties. Mr. Vine earned the designation Accredited Rural Appraiser (ARA) presented by the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers in 1986. He was awarded the designation Counselor of Real Estate (CRE) by the Counselors of Real Estate in 1989. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) in 2006. In 1991, the State of Texas began certifying real estate appraisers through the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board; in March 1991, he became a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.
