The Hudson Draw is conveniently located to San Angelo being approximately 20 miles northwest of town. The property is accessed by both a county maintained and private easement road.
The ranch offers a diverse terrain that varies from rugged hills with various headers and canyons to level divide country to more level country with various drainages into Hudson Draw in the southern part of the ranch.
The East Fork of Grape Creek traverses the northeast corner of the ranch. This part of the creek is dry, but offers some solid hunting cover. Brush species on the ranch vary from mesquite and cedar to agarita, prickly pear and other species native to the area. Brush density is light in some areas and moderate to heavy in others creating good wildlife cover.
Elevations on the ranch range from approximately 2,200 - 2,400 feet above sea level.
Water is provided by one water well in the southern portion of the ranch. This well is equipped with a windmill and a concrete reservoir. Additionally, water is supplied to one other trough by a well on a neighbor.
The Hudson Draw Ranch offers good hunting opportunities for white-tail deer, turkey, quail, dove and feral hogs. Additionally, axis and blackbuck antelope are occasionally seen.
