The Weldon Family Ranch is located about halfway between Rocksprings (groceries, some restaurants, gas and supplies) and Barksdale off CR310, an all-weather caliche surface road. As a crow flies, about 15 miles to either town.


No live surface water on the ranch. Two small caliche pit impoundments hold water for livestock and wildlife. Additionally, one well has water piped to specific livestock water troughs. Cutting Pen Draw, a wet-weather draw moves significant water during heavy rains but quickly dries out with the exception of a few shallow holes.

There is an original old rock house (exact age unknown) settled among large Live Oaks. The house has a kitchen/dining area, a bathroom and a bunk room that sleeps 6 comfortably. A strong well is located on the property that provides water to one of the caliche tanks and several livestock watering troughs. There is also a large rock cistern, a set of sorting pens and several barns and sheds.


The Weldon Family Ranch offering is unique in that it has been hunted primarily by the family since the 1950s.
