The springs in the riverbed continued to produce water even during the severe drought of 2011. One of the wells can be use to supplement an attractive pond on the place, which was named "Sombrero Lake" by a granddaughter for its shape.
Wildlife. Tremendous deer and dove populations bless the complete ranch and provide loads of fun, successful hunting. There are numerous other wildlife species as well, including turkey, that will thrill wildlife watchers or hunters.
