The ranch has 1800 feet of county road frontage. There are several groves of large live oak trees near the county road which would make excellent home sites. This area is smooth and very few rocks. There is an old well and electricity near by. The place also has about 1800 feet of Cherokee Creek which runs part of the time with an excellent place to put a dam. The back of the ranch has scattered live oak mots and nice openings for deer hunting. This part is rocky limestone country with some larger live oaks in some thickets. There is some small cedar but most were killed by the drouth in 2011. Most do remain standing. The ranch is located over the hickory aquifer and has good water. It is only partly fenced. It is surrounded by big ranch country.
From Cherokee Texas take Farm to Market Road 501 west for 5 miles, then turn south on County Road 343 and go just over 2 miles. It is 24 miles from Llano and about 100 miles from Austin.
