Location: The Hilltop Ranch is located in Kimble County conveniently just 3.5 miles from I-10 in the Segovia area. The entrance is off CR 470. The accessibility of this ranch is easy and convenient. It is approximately 40 miles from Kerrville, 52 miles from Fredericksburg, 90 miles from San Antonio, and 130 miles from Austin.
Land: The term "hill country" is certainly appropriate for this property as it contains some of the most beautiful views from the tops of the hills that gently slope down into the valleys and draws. The majority of the cedar has been cleared to make a park-like atmosphere highlighting the beautiful oaks throughout. You will find a couple newly developed small ponds currently stocked with some nice bass and catfish. The seller has even found some areas with Indian arrowheads on the property.
Water: The beginning of the Sycamore Creek creates a beautiful draw on the south side of the property. The ranch has 2 water wells. The well next to the shop is 460 feet deep and is equipped with a 1,600 gallon storage tank and 20'X20' concrete water trough. The other well runs on solar power is approx 280' deep and supplements the fishing pond.
Wildlife: Being surrounded by good sized properties combined with a year round feeding program has caused the wildlife on this ranch to thrive. Good quality whitetail, hogs, turkey, and dove are on the ranch. The owner has even seen the occasional blackbuck on the ranch
