Further, the west side of this property is bordered by the Martin Marietta/Union Pacific railroad right of way. The railroad, when completed, will connect the quarry to the Union Pacific railroad near Highway 90 to the south.
In addition, the owners of the 425.684 acres have acquired a negotiated right to have a rail switch and rail line from the Martin Marietta/Union Pacific railroad onto this property. The right to own and develop this rail line is transferable to the new owners.
