Based on total listings, Texas has the most land for sale on Lands of America. It also features the most acres for sale. Recent data from Lands of America records over $30 billion in land and other rural acreage for sale in Texas. The combined size of land for sale in the state is 4,560,166 acres. Of the 254 counties in Texas, Comal County had the most land and rural real estate for sale. Based on comps submitted through the Lands of America Comparable Sales program in January, Texas had the most land sales. Of the 624 recorded land sales, the total value of all completed sales was $280 million for all property and land sold in Texas (a nine percent change over the month before). Ellis and Henderson County had the most land sales recently in the state. The Lone Star State has over 200 public hunting areas, which include wildlife management areas, state parks, and U.S. Forest Service lands. The state is also home to 191,000 miles of rivers and streams, along with numerous lakes and reservoirs, and Gulf of Mexico coastline.
