Based on comps submitted through the Lands of America Comparable Sales program in April, Texas had the most land sales. Of the 766 recorded land sales, the total value of all completed sales was $1 billion for all property and land sold in Texas (a six percent decline over the month before). The most land sales in the state last month were recorded in Edwards County. Texas is the second-biggest state in the United States, covering an area of 268,601 square miles (172 million acres). As one the country's top farming states, current uses of land for sale in Texas include for agriculture, hunting, fishing, and residential use. Livestock on farms and ranches for sale in Texas include cattle, horses, goats, sheep, and pigs.
