Water! Water! Water! Managed whitetail! Views! Albany-Texas! What else could you ask for?
701.17-acre ranch managed for wildlife and designed for entertaining, located in
highly sought-after Shackelford County, Texas just 2 miles south of Albany.
An area being known for producing trophy native whitetail and comprised of large legendary ranches has made it a coveted region of Texas for decades. Albany is a quaint West Texas town that is described as one of the best small towns in Texas by Texas Monthly magazine. And anything thats worth owning does not last in this region.
This property has 2 high pressure water line taps that can be used for irrigation purposes. When you have a virtually unlimited supply of water in west Texas it provides opportunities that are extremely unique. Complimenting the high-pressure water taps there are several other water features including roughly a mile of Hubbard Creek with a flow through impoundment of water, a duck slough that can be controlled by water from the high-pressure tap, and approximately a 1-acre tank. The accolades to this property do not stop at the water. From the entrance of the ranch the land is softly rolling just beyond the creek where it meets a dramatic variety in elevation change. The northern part of the ranch provides great cultivated land on both sides of the creek. Then quickly rises over 250 feet in elevation heading to the South leaving large hilltops towering above the lodge and Hubbard Creek bottom land. Once atop the hills you have a completely unobstructed view of Albany and the northern end of the ranch along Hubbard Creek as well as an ocean of other game managed ranches that surround.
