Located in the big country, north of Aspermont, Texas, Salt Fork Bluff Ranch is an hour drive northwest of Abilene. The ranch headquarters are located off of paved FM 1263. As the name implies, the ranch features approximately 2.5 miles of frontage along the Salt Fork of the Brazos River along with steep, rocky bluffs that line the live water on the ranch.

The abundance of live water on the ranch is a natural resource that allows the ranch to provide desirable habitat for various species of wildlife. These species include, but are not limited to, whitetail deer, bobwhite quail, blue quail, dove, and wild hogs.
