This fine 393.50 acre High-Fenced Ranch is a, more or less, rectangularly-shaped ranch property that is comprised of guajillo and blackbrush covered ridges and hills with live oak trees in the bottom of the draws and in specific areas. This fine ranch also has persimmon, huisache, guayacan, granjeno (spiny hackberry) and various other good, edible brushes common to the area. The Machete Ranch is totally enclosed by a new high fence and has been stocked with genetic white-tailed deer and axis deer for a number of years. There is a good population of axis deer which can be hunted year-round and there is a good population of white-tailed deer. The owner recently added 10 new bred whitetail does to the property! There are a number of very nice hunting blinds and protein feeders and corn feeders that will convey with the property. The ranch is watered by two domestic water wells - one is equipped with an electric submersible pump. The well is powered by two large solar panels and pumps water into a large earthen tank and into a pipeline system that delivers water to a number of concrete water troughs. The water is piped across the ranch to a number of water troughs and to the ranch headquarters located in the southeast corner of the property. There is a good network of ranch roads that meander over most areas of the ranch. There are also roads to the deer blinds and to the feeders and along the perimeter of the property.

There is a NICE hunting camp located in the southeast corner of the property. There are two cabins that will sleep a good number of guests and visitors. The main cabin has a master bedroom and bath, a modern kitchen and a living room/den area. The second cabin is located next door and provides additional beds and a bathroom. There are two metal storage containers used for storing tools, feed, equipment and ATV's. The camp is all fenced in to maintain privacy. Most of the ranch has gentle rolling terrain and the soil types are mostly Kimbrough-Tarrant, which is a dark gray colored soil that is usually shallow on the ridges and slopes, and deep in the draws and flats. It is the grower of excellent edible brushes and trees, and of a very wide variety of good native grasses. The soils are mellow and rich in nutrients and minerals, and the plant life that is produced is rich and strong when consumed by animals. It is widely known and recognized as being very strong and very productive, and animals grazed on it are large, strong and usually fat. These are the brushes that make this area famous as being part of the Brush Country. The basic grasses that are predominant in this area are vine mesquite, running buffalo, side oats grama, tangle head, pink pappus, green sprangletop, love, crowfoot, red grama, six weeks grama, Texas bristle, three-awn, Arizona cottontop, and others. Many of these grasses are of the climax variety, and are especially strong in vitamins and nutrients. These native grasses are strong and desirable when eaten, and they, along with the strong brushes, combine to produce very desirable food and fattening grazing and browsing. They are what makes the South Texas Brush Country famous.... It is Strong in Everything for animals. A small percentage of the minerals are available with the property. The percentage of minerals to be conveyed is dependent upon the price paid for the property. The east neighbor is 640 acres in size and the north neighbor is a large ranch, as well.

This is an outstanding small sized hunting ranch that has good white-tailed deer AND axis deer hunting on it! The protein feeders and corn feeders are being well utilized. Everything is in place the genetic deer, the high-fence, the axis deer. It is Ready To Enjoy!!! It would be our pleasure to show you over this dandy little ranch. It has a lot of potential!
