Brushy Mountain Ranch is located in the Highland Lakes Region of the Texas Hill Country in Burnet County. The property is approximately 60 miles northwest of Austin, 80 miles southwest of Waco, 100 miles north of San Antonio, and 150 miles southwest of Dallas; and is accessed from Highway 107, about 17 miles southwest of Lampasas.
From the entrance, an improved road leads to frontage on the Colorado River. Deer Creek, Colorado River tributary, winds through the ranch for roughly two miles. Brushy Mountain has an average elevation of 1,463 feet and offers incredible views of the entire property, plus the Colorado River and Devils Hollow.
Historically, property management revolved around cattle production, hunting, and wildlife conservation. Abundant wildlife includes deer, turkeys, hogs, dove, quail, duck, and rare species such as the golden-cheeked warbler and the black- capped vireo.
